Spring Engagement Photos with Michelle + Nate

Spring is a beautiful and romantic time for wedding engagement photos! We love taking couples to parks, using the colorful spring blossoms as a backdrop. Rob met recently with Michelle and Nate for their engagement photos in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, at Prescott Park. The Formal Gardens there are beautiful, as is the waterfront along the Piscataqua River. We decided to time the session during the late morning hours, as rain was forecasted later in the day. Although we prefer a soft and warmer light (like in the early evening) for engagements, Rob made this timeframe work to his advantage by using surrounding trees and the shade to balance the light on his subjects. Michelle and Nate had booked us for their wedding last Fall, just in time to beat the rush to find a wedding photographer for their summer wedding. We always recommend booking a minimum of ten to twelve months before your wedding date so their is a better chance of booking the date with us.
